Metal Carriers for Flat Windows & Cover Glass

Blue-steel or stainless carrier routes for planar glass windows and cover-glass blanks; selected around wet-process exposure and edge contact.

HOW THIS PRODUCT IS JUDGED

Connect the physical product to its process function.

Long rectangular pockets reduce the supporting web differently from circular pockets. Pocket spacing, corner relief and part thickness therefore matter as much as the outside gear profile. Curved cover-glass polishing uses a different fixture and brush route.

SELECTION FOCUS

Questions that change the direction.

  • Flat window or curved cover: confirm the operation first
  • Glass composition, strengthened state and fragile corners
  • Blue steel versus stainless under the actual slurry and cleaning

RFQ & DRAWING FIELDS

Evidence needed before release.

  • Pocket map, corner radii, permitted contact edges and clearance
  • Machine interface and carrier thickness relative to the workpiece
  • Inspection method for scratches, chips and surface shape
  • Handling, cleaning, drying and protected storage requirements

FROM SELECTION TO FIRST ARTICLE

A practical review sequence for this product family.

01

Material choice

Specify the alloy or review candidate materials against stiffness, wear and the actual wet chemistry.

02

Drawing definition

Confirm carrier outside diameter, tooth form, pocket map, thickness and the agreed burr limit.

03

Release checks

Agree the method for thickness and flatness checks, and inspect the pocket and tooth edges before a process trial.

Order-specific dimensions, material grades and acceptance values are recorded in the approved specification. This sequence is selection guidance, not a pre-validated process recipe.

PUBLIC CLAIM BOUNDARY

Typical direction is not a performance guarantee.

Dimensions, materials, removal rate, roughness, life and compatibility are published only when supported by an approved drawing, material record or project-specific validation. Unverified label examples, third-party photographs and customer pricing remain internal references.
